I am so incredibly excited to announce that I have started selling quilt block patterns on Etsy! I currently have four spring and Easter themed quilt blocks available, and am very excited to share them with you!
Since Easter is just around the corner, I have an Easter egg (or an oddly colored football, as one family member thought) and an Easter basket. I've also created a bee and tulip block to celebrate spring!
These blocks finish at 4.5 inches square. I've made them quite small with the idea that they can be quilted and bound and used as drink coasters. But of course, they can also be added as blocks into a larger quilt pattern. Or maybe add sashing in between the blocks to create a fun table topper?
Since they are so small, they are perfect for using up scraps. Every block I made was entirely from the my scrap bin, including the binding and backing (and the batting, too, for that matter). They are also really quick to make, only an hour or two from cutting to finishing the binding. The hardest part was figuring out what fabric to use! This makes them perfect if you need a quick gift, you can make just one, or all four for a coaster set!
These are entirely assembled using squares, rectangles and half square triangles. There is no paper piecing or applique used. Instructions in the pattern include all assembling, a quilting idea and instructions to finish and bind the block for a coaster.
They are available for sale individually for $2.50 each, or the bundle of 4 for $8. They are currently available in my Etsy shop, which is acraftyphoenix. You can also find them by clicking this link, or the individual pictures should take you directly to the appropriate listing.
I am so excited about this blocks and hope you love them as much as I do! If you make them, please share with me on Facebook (@acraftyphoenix) or Instagram (@a_crafty_phoenix). I can't wait to see what you create!
